David has been a passionate student of various nutrition philosophies for over 20 years. In addition to his background in traditional Chinese nutritional theory, David offers advice based on his training in whole food and functional nutrition. He has been particularly influenced by the teachings of Dianna Schwarzbein, MD, Donnie Yance, CN, MH, RH (AHG), Datis Kharrazian, DC, D.H.Sc.,MS, Loren Cordain, PhD, and many of the philosophies of the Weston A. Price Foundation. He doesn't believe that we can get optimal nutrition from diet alone, and he advocates for various whole food nutritional supplements and herbs in an effort to create the optimal diet for each individual.
